• As an assessment tool
• As a learning tool

Tests as an assessment tool should not be underestimated because teachers need them to really understand how much their pupils have learned.
It helps the teachers to adjust their curriculum accordingly. The pupils' "Strong" and "Weak" areas are duly identified

Similarly, the usefulness of tests as a learning tool cannot be written off as it gives an indication of how a student will perform in the real exam.
The best way to do well on an examination is to be thoroughly familiar with the course content and learning a few tricks is no substitute for learning the course!
Though, one problem with teaching test-taking skills is that students may become more focused on how to "beat the test" than on learning; but on the other hand, students may be less intimidated by tests if they have some strategies for dealing with them. Taking a  competitive exam like IIT-JEE or AIEEE without adequate practice will not yield the desired result even though a student has full potential.

Our Tests are adaptive in nature. They not only help students evaluate their levels of learning but also help them learn concepts. Since these tests  simulate the real IIT-JEE / AIEEE scenario, it helps students to get rid of performance anxiety and exam fear.
